Mr PEARSON (Essendon)- I would like to take this opportunity to thank the people of the state district of Essendon for providing me the opportunity to be their local member for the last 12 months—and what a last 12 months it has been. We have started construction of the new arts, science and physics building at Strathmore Secondary College. It will be ready to be opened in March next year. We have opened the brand-new Strathmore Primary School, which was officially opened by the Deputy Premier, as were the renovations at Ascot Vale Primary School. We have provided funding to renovate the grounds at Flemington Primary School. We opened the brand-new Riverside netball and tennis courts in Ascot Vale, which will ensure that girls can have good quality sporting facilities to play netball. We have started the process of establishing planning controls over the Moonee Ponds Activity Centre. Work will commence on a new bike path at Woodland Street in Strathmore. We are funding a new plan to improve safety at Moonee Ponds junction. My community will get a new dog path, and work is underway to improve the viability of the Maribyrnong River and the Moonee Ponds Creek. But wait, there is more. We have had the Royal Commission into Mental Health; we have had the Solar Homes program; we have started work on the Suburban Rail Loop; we are getting on with the job of building an airport rail link; we are providing free TAFE, free three-year-old kinder and free dental in schools; we have enshrined in law three public holidays; we are providing free school breakfast and lunch clubs; we are providing baby bundles; we are ensuring that trans people can change their birth certificate; and we have started construction on five new— (Time expired)
