Restoring the Strathmore Secondary College School Zone
The Napthine Government decided to exclude students living in parts of Strathmore and Strathmore Heights from being able to attend Strathmore Secondary College. This decision by the former Government, without any warning or consultation, has had a profoundly negative impact on these communities, not only for parents hoping to send their children to Strathmore Secondary College but also for other home-owners whose property values have been jeopardised by this decision.
The Andrews Labor Government has delivered on its election commitment to reinstate the zone for Strathmore Secondary College, enabling students in Strathmore Heights and the Bulla Road Strip to attend the school.
This has been a key issue for the community, and local parents can now be reassured that their Year 7’s can enrol in the school.
